SHIPPING POLICY

DOMESTIC SHIPPING:
Pinny Planet is based in the USA! Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Orders are shipped via USPS as Ground Advantage (Standard Shipping) or Priority Mail depending on buyer’s preference at checkout.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
Yes! Pinny Planet ships to most countries WORLDWIDE via the United States Postal Service or Asendia USA! We ship to MOST countries except Germany (as of June 2022 due to International seller policy changes), Russia, and Israel. USPS or Asendia USA is used to ship your package within the US and is then passed on to your country’s postal service to deliver your package to the shipping address provided by the buyer.
At this time, Pinny Planet does not use FEDEX, UPS, DHL, or any other shipping services besides USPS due to the additional fees they charge recipients upon delivery. I tried this a handful of times when I first started sending out orders many years ago, and it was not a great experience for myself and my buyers. Other shipping services are much more expensive with hidden fees. The delivering country’s postal service tends to be more transparent and lets recipients handle any VAT and customs themselves.
VAT & CUSTOMS POLICY:
Pinny Planet does not collect or remit any international taxes, customs, or any additional fees. Any import duties/taxes/fees will be collected by your country when it reaches customs. Customers are responsible for these additional fees. Your package may be delayed while being held by customs. All fees must be paid for the package to be released to you. Pinny Planet is not responsible for these fees and not responsible for helping to contact your country's customs department for release.
By placing an order with Pinny Planet, it is your responsibility to abide by your country's laws and policies. If your order is seized by customs, we are not responsible for product losses or shipping funds. If fees are rejected, the package will not return back to us and a refund cannot be processed.
INTERNATIONAL ALTERNATIVE OPTION:
If you are more comfortable using Etsy as an International buyer, please feel free to check out our shop here. Etsy will automatically collect and remit tax on your behalf for a more hassle free experience, but there are unfortunately only a select amount of products available on the Pinny Planet Etsy shop.
PROCESSING TIME:
All orders are processed within 7 - 21 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. Please note processing time is not “delivery” time, as that depends on how quickly the carrier delivers your order and is out of my control. Processing time is the time it takes for me to check your order, pack your items, and drop off at my local post office. During times with high order volumes, processing time can be on the later side of the estimation. This will be conveyed to buyers in your confirmation email. You will receive another automated email with the tracking number, signifying that your shipping label has been made and your order has begun the process of shipment. This is provided about 1-2 weeks in advance so customers can ensure they have inputted their correct delivering address or if any changes to the order need to be made. This also helps me as the seller to schedule your drop off date to the post office. Please make sure to check your spam or promotions folder for this tracking email as email hosts tend to sort my automated emails into these folders. Once USPS receives the package, the tracking will update within 24-48 hours from the drop off date and you will be able to tracking your package until delivered.
Shipping upgrades are available at checkout. Please note this does NOT change the processing time! It only changes how your item will ship after it is processed in the stated time. Priority and Priority Express will be much quicker than regular First Class Shipping, so feel free to choose the shipping selection best suited for you! Although I already ship out fairly quickly, if you need something shipped the next day or you want to inquire about receiving your items by a specific date, feel free to email me at shop@pinnyplanet.com before your purchase to see if I'm able to help you! Most likely I can, but please let me know beforehand!
SHIPPING DISCLAIMER:
Pinny Planet is responsible for your purchase UNTIL it reaches the United States Post Office. After that, it is out of our control. All orders will have some form of insurance. Standard Shipping is shipped with USPS Ground Advantage, and these orders are eligible for insurance with USPS for up to $100 if your item is lost or damaged. You can find more information about your eligibility on USPS’ website here. If your package is lost or damaged, customers are responsible for filing their own claim with USPS. The process can be daunting, so feel free to email me at shop@pinnyplanet.com if you need support! I am always happy to help!
If you’d like additional insurance, I have provided 2 more options below!
Shipping Insurance:
Upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority Shipping at checkout. USPS will insure your package for up to $100 carrier liability with most shipments, and USPS will guarantee that your package is delivered within 2-3 business days. For more information, please visit USPS’ official website here.
Tip: USPS Priority Shipping offers the same insurance coverage as USPS Ground Advantage (Standard Shipping), as it only covers up to $100 if your claim is approved. BUT from personal experience, I have found that USPS is much more careful with packages shipped with Priority Mail. I recommend upgrading to Priority Shipping IF you need your package to be delivered ASAP and/or if you feel that you’ve been experiencing frequent mis-deliveries with USPS and want them to take extra care of delivering your package to the correct address.
Purchase insurance for $3 here. On your behalf, I will purchase insurance from InsureShield Shipping Insurance. This insurance will cover your entire order up to $300 if your package is damaged during transit or lost by the carrier. This can be applied to both domestic and international orders. If your package is damaged or lost during transit, Pinny Planet will submit your case to InsureShield on your behalf. We will work together to file a claim, as evidence and paperwork will be submitted. Please inform shop@pinnyplanet.com if you believe your package has been lost (tracking hasn’t updated in 30 days) or if your package and its contents were damaged (within 30 days of its delivery) to use your insurance. Once InsureShield has approved of everything, you will receive a refund on the entire order amount, including shipping and tax. If your order is more than $300 and you’d like to insure your entire order, please reach out to shop@pinnyplanet.com for an updated quote on insurance!
Tip: I recommend InsureShield Insurance for bigger orders if you’re placing large pin or bag orders over $100, and you just want that extra insurance for peace of mind. For this option, I will handle everything on your behalf. InsureShield Insurance has a very quick response rate, and we’ll hear back from them within a week. If/when the case is approved by InsureShield, I will refund the order quantity within 24 hours of approval. This process is much faster than USPS, and more hands free on the customer’s end as I (Nicole) will handle everything for you.
Note: You can upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority Shipping order AND purchase insurance.
If your package is lost or your items are damaged during transit…
In the case that your shipment is lost or damaged in transit; you are responsible to file the claim with USPS, but you are not alone! If you need help with this, feel free to contact me at shop@pinnyplanet.com. I can help you step-by-step on how to go about filing a claim with USPS with your lost or damaged package. Below, I will also list recommendations if the tracking of your package has stopped updating and/or if you cannot find your delivered mail.
Pinny Planet is not responsible for shipments sent to forwarding services or companies regardless of shipping service selected. If you place an order and your shipping address is a forwarding address, you are responsible for contacting your forwarding company or service to locate your shipment.
Pinny Planet is not responsible for weather related damage or delays. Once the package leaves our hands, it is completely out of our control!
Please make sure your address is correct before placing your order. We will not be responsible for packages going to incorrect addresses. We are also not responsible if apartment/unit numbers are not included in the original shipping address provided in the order. You may absolutely request to change addresses or fix addresses by emailing at shop@pinnyplanet.com!
If you would like your order to be re-shipped due to an incorrect address, you will be asked to pay for shipping again as your original shipping label was already used by USPS. If this is an issue, we can cancel and refund your order total (not including the shipped that was used to return your package to seller).
FREE Sticker Shipping Does NOT include INSURANCE:
For orders only containing stickers and were shipped for free, your orders are NOT insured. First Class Letter Envelope Mail will be used to ship sticker orders for free. This includes tracking but NOT insurance. If you want your package to have some sort of insurance, feel free to upgrade your shipping at checkout to USPS Standard Shipping (Ground Advantage), USPS Priority Mail, and/or purchase insurance here. Please note, in certain cases sticker orders might be shipped via Standard Shipping (Ground Advantage) if a higher number of stickers are purchased in the same order, so it may include insurance. If you encounter any issues with your sticker orders, please reach out to shop@pinnyplanet.com to see if your order has insurance or not. I will be happy to help either way!

SHIPPING FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE:
Please make sure all addresses are correct before placing your order, as we will not refund shipping fees for wrong address on your part or returned shipments. We will not refund shipping fees on returns initiated by the customer or for refunds issued by us. In the event that a package is lost, replacements are sent as case-by-case basis, and customers are asked to cover the shipping fees for the replacement as Pinny Planet is not responsible for a package once it is scanned into USPS. Please feel free to file claims if your package is lost or upgrade and/or add additional insurance.
FREE SHIPPING ON STICKER ORDERS:
Pinny Planet is NOW offering free shipping on orders that ONLY contain stickers! This is a new offering to help customers save on shipping, especially with stickers when they do not weigh very much!
Stickers will be shipped in a letter envelope with backing cards and protective sleeves to keep it from bending during transit. The letter envelope will come with tracking via USPS Informed Visibility® Mail Tracking. Once your letter envelope reaches the destination post office to be placed on a USPS postal truck for delivery, the letter envelope is marked as “Out for Delivery.” Since USPS now has geo-fenced most of the mailboxes in the US and has also equipped their mail carriers with geo-enabled devices, the final tracking event for most envelopes will be Delivered in Mailbox. This tracking event indicates the exact date/time that a postal truck containing an envelope with an Informed Visibility barcode for a specific address has traveled past the mailbox for that address. Envelopes will reach shipping addresses in about 3 to 5 business days.
Note 1: From 2 years of experience with using USPS’ Informed Visibility Mail Tracking, sometimes USPS will scan envelopes ahead of time to meet their weekly quotas. If you see the tracking has been updated as “Out for Delivery” but has not been delivered, please wait about 1-2 business days for the envelope to be delivered. If it still has not arrived, feel free to contact customer support at shop@pinnyplanet.com and I’ll be happy to help!
Note 2: USPS’ Informed Visibility Mail Tracking is a different tracking system from USPS Standard Shipping and Priority Mail! The tracking does not update at every stop. Like mentioned above, the tracking will update once the envelope has reached the delivering/destination post office.
COMBINE SHIPPING:
Shipping rates are constantly going up, so Pinny Planet does its best to not only offer the cheapest rates we can find but also combine orders! Many customers tend to make multiple orders during product drops for varying reasons, so I will absolutely do my best to combine shipping automatically! Typically, if I see multiple orders going to the same name and address, I’ll combine the orders and refund the extra shipping costs to the original payment method. If you and a loved one have orders under a different name and/or different address but want to combine, feel free to contact me at shop@pinnyplanet.comt to request for combine shipping! I’m happy to figure that out with you and help you both save on shipping!

- The two most common reasons for customers not being able to find their package is…
A friend/roommate/family member brought in the package and forgot to notify the customer that their package arrived
The mail person accidentally delivered the package to a neighbor and marked the package as successfully delivered
Please ask all loved ones that reside with you if they have seen your package. Please ask your neighbors if they have seen your package. Most packages marked as “delivered” usually end up being one of these situations
- Contact LOCAL post office immediately after checking with everyone if you cannot find your package! I recommend seeing them in person to really explain the situation and ask who delivered the parcel and ask details about that day's delivery. They are used to these types of questions, and can provide helpful information. You might be able to ask your local post office person to see if they remember your package and if they delivered it to the correct address.
- If the parcel does not show up, you should file a claim with the Post Office. You can do so over the phone, online, or in person.
- I unfortunately cannot reimburse orders that were mis-delivered by the post office, declared lost, or stolen from a property. BUT orders shipped via USPS Standard Shipping or Priority Mail include insurance. USPS may be able to refund your order amount if you file a claim within the appropriate timeframe and submit the necessary documents and photos. File a Missing Mail Search with USPS. What this does is notifies USPS that your package seems to be missing due to the lack of tracking updates. You will be asked very specific questions about your package as well as seller's info. Please contact me if your package's tracking has not updated! We can both file a missing mail search together to notify USPS that your package is not moving or updating. Please contact me at shop@pinnyplanet.com if this occurs to one of your packages.

Yes! Please notify me via email if you'd like me to combine your shipping at shop@pinnyplanet.com! Please make sure neither of your orders have been confirmed as "shipped" before you do so.
